On “Inside the Vatican” this week, host Colleen Dulle asks Gerard O’Connell how Archbishop Cordileone’s statement has been received at the Vatican and whether the Vatican will intervene.
“I come from a largely pro-life, Italian-American Catholic family, so I respect people's views about that, but I don’t respect us foisting it onto others,” Ms. Pelosi said in response to the move by Archbishop Cordileone.
“You realize that the rest of the world is looking toward Pope Francis as maybe the one person who could end this [war], who could bring peace,” Ambassador Donnelly told Gerard O’Connell.
“Unfortunately, Speaker Pelosi’s position on abortion has become only more extreme over the years, especially in the last few months,” Archbishop Cordileone said in a statement May 20.
