Pope Francis will not be going to the U.N. Climate Change Conference in Glasgow, Scotland, as he had hoped.

In an unprecedented response to the “grave threat” facing all peoples worldwide from climate change, Pope Francis and some 40 faith leaders have joined in an appeal for urgent action.

But the pope also encouraged activists to help rebuild society’s “fabric of relationships” by working towards unity rather than division.

Maybe in this time of uncertainty, fear and doubt, it would be worth recruiting some young people like BTS, Greta Thunberg or Malala Yousafzai to officially join the pope in his fight for the future of our planet.

Dropping meat from our Friday menus has the double benefit of reducing our carbon footprints (however minimally) and bringing us closer to the Lord.
