As I walked through the path to Calvary, the stench of grubby sand lingered in the air, while the strike of whips ran across my body.

The flavor of rancid blood dripping down my tongue and lips nauseated me. The blatant yelling of indignant soldiers raced through my ears as they hanged me up on my cross.

The laughter of citizens mocked me, and the sharp stinging of nails causing burning around my body made me cry and yell “My God, why have you forsaken me!”

The glance of my mother crying for me made me sorrowful. The odor of the robbers’ perspiration made me irritated as a bunch of sand flew into my mouth.

But here I am crucified for you, because I love you and wouldn’t change a thing. I closed my eyes and prayed, and slowly ascended into heaven to watch over you every day.
