There comes a day
When you realize
That some people are temporary.

People you thought would always be there, they
Sometimes walk away.

Some people you knew everything about:
Every detail,
Every thought.

You’re dying to know what they had for dinner last night.

To hear his voice on the other end of the phone
To watch her sing with her eyes closed
To hear his heartbeat with my head on his chest
To wake up and know she's there
To drive in the middle of the night and feel your hand brush up against mine.
