Drawing upon a Dec. 10 story in Catholic San Francisco (the official newspaper of the Archdiocese of San Francisco), Dan Morris-Young at the National Catholic Reporter recently gave further background on the archdiocese's newly formed Office of Catholic Identity Assessment.

What will this office mean, practically, for the 14 Catholic high schools within the archdiocese, 10 of which are independent or affiliated with religious communities? It's not yet clear
