The campaign to reduce nuclear stockpiles has found a champion in President Barack Obama. By signing the STAR agreement with Russia, and convening a national summit on nuclear arms control, he has sought to follow through on the his pledge in Prague last year to lead the fight against proliferation.

Over the last few years, under the editorial direction of Drew Christiansen, S.J., a former adviser to the U.S. bishops on nuclear policy, America has taken a special interest in this issue. Here we present a selection of our coverage.
