I believe there is a great potential for bi-partisan and pan-ideological ecumenism when it comes to food.... both far-right 'rugged individualist' fundamentalists and far-left 'rugged utopian commune living radicals are acquiring the similar lifestyle of off-grid, low impact, micro- or community farming that's being threatened by the Monsatos' of the world. I urge everyone to netflix and find "Food, inc." - a documentary on food that'll shock and provoke you no matter your politics or theology.
