From the Religious Illiteracy Department. Last night, on his MSNBC television show, Keith Olbermann taunted a Republican candidate - I forget where the candidate was from - who claimed he had seen the Ark of the Covenant in Arizona. Okay, so that is a bit bizarre. But, then Olbermann made this joke: "In Arizona? I hope the animals had their papers." Alas, the Ark of the Covenant and Noah's Ark are different arks Mr. Olbermann.

Olbermann would have been clear on his Ark distinctions if only he had watched those Old Testament classics "Raiders of the Lost Ark" and "Evan Almighty." ;)

C'mon - do you think that KO paid attention in his Bar Mitzvah classes?  Maybe they didn't deal with Hebrew Scripture history, just learning how to recite the Torah passages in Hebrew.

I say this only because I THINK he has alluded to being Jewish in the past.

Naw, 'he was raised Unitarian'; an Ark is an Ark whether it floats or is rolled. no dogma here.
