Happy Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes.  The first apparitions to St. Bernadette Soubirous, a poor girl living in Lourdes, a small town in the "High Pyrenees" in Southern France, began on this date 151 years ago.

As always, Father Martin, you have given us a beautiful reflection.  I have loved Bernadette since I was a little girl and of course, I loved the movie.  When will you be making your annual pilgrimage to Lourdes?  How I wish God would wisk my children and me to Lourdes!  But, since that seems to be a tad unrealistic, we will be with you in spirit and prayer during your next visit.  God bless you.
