Sally Quinn, who (now famously) received Communion at Tim Russert’s funeral Mass a few weeks ago in Washington, D.C., and which we commented on here (a post that prompted much animated discussion) has responded to her supporters and her critics with a new post on the "On Faith" blog.  She also mentions our commentary in her thoughtful response.  It’s the rare person in the media today (or anywhere, for that matter) who will say that he or she actually learned something, or deepened his or her appreciation for a complex topic, in the wake of hearing other opinions on the matter. The hosts (no pun intended) of the blog (Ms. Quinn and Jon Meacham, the editor of Newsweek) have invited all their regular bloggers to weigh in on the issue.  See what you think...here.
