For those of you who won’t be able to see Frank Langella in the revival of "A Man for All Seasons" in New York, here’s the next best thing: Fathers Jim Martin and Mike Tueth sit down with Emily Brennan of Columbia University to discuss the new production. The panel discusses, among other things, how Langella’s visceral portrayal of Sir Thomas More compares to Sir Paul Scofield’s more stoic take on the English saint.

View the discussion here.

You can read Father Tueth’s review of the Langella production here. Or read the original reviews of the play and film from America’s archives.

Thanks to America’s video guru Jim McDermott, S.J. for putting this together.
