DC PRIEST: Ordination 2013

This month men across the country will be ordained to the preisthood. In June 2013, Cardinal Donald Wuerl ordained six men in the Archdiocese of Washington, calling them agents of the New Evangelization and heralds of the Holy Spirit.

If it weren't the few views of communion, there would not be a single woman in this piece. Cardinal Wuerl pointedly talked of his "sons" and the final word is "fatherhood." Message received.

The exclusively male priesthood reduces divine revelation to a patriarchal ideology. Let us pray for the ordination of celibate women to the priesthood.
