Baltimore's Bishop Denis Madden: 'Avoid the Trap' of Generalizations About and Fear of Muslim People


Baltimore's Bishop Denis Madden is former chair and current member of the Bishops Committee for Ecumenical and Interreligious Affairs. He has served as Associate Secretary General of the Catholic Near East Welfare Association and previous to that was the Director of the Pontifical Mission for Palestine office in Jerusalem. He implores that U.S. Catholics "avoid the trap" of fearing and making generalizations about Muslim people because of political rhetoric and recent ISIS-directed or inspired terror strikes.
