I sense an ongoing tendency for preachers and teachers to allegorize or metaphor-ize the Easter event, making it a metaphor for renewal or Springtime or reawakening, etc. In doing this, the tendency is to bypass the Easter event, which is a huge mistake...Christianity is based on that event. If that event did not happen, everything else disappears. Let's keep the focus on the event, on the fundamental mystery of Easter..
