This week why not take a little longer on the gratitude part of your Examen. You might just find that you, and everyone around you, is a little happier.

How do you pray? Do you kneel? Sit? Lie down?

If you’ve been praying the Daily Examen for a few months or even a few weeks, you may have started to notice a few ways that God is active in your life.

Pay attention to those holy people in your life: they’re drawing you closer to God.

The Gospel of Luke is often called The Gospel of Prayer, because of all the many times it portrays Jesus at prayer. Take that as your text, and inspiration, for this week. 

First, can the synod use the term “L.G.B.T.” in its documents? Second, can the synod acknowledge that gay couples can form a “family”?

You can’t do everything, but you can do something.

Part of the spiritual life is being okay with a few days, weeks, or even months of dry times in prayer.

When it comes to prayer, just because you can’t explain it doesn’t mean that it’s not real.
