Los Angeles Archbishop José H. Gomez, president of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, called on his fellow bishops to take the news of the Resurrection and the triumph of life over death directly to people to help them navigate the pandemic and economic turmoil.

Martha Hennessy, a granddaughter of Dorothy Day, the founder of the Catholic Worker movement, was sentenced Friday (Nov. 13) to 10 months in prison for breaking into Kings Bay Naval Base in Georgia.
