John grew up in Virginia and went to college at Mount St. Mary's where he first heard about L'Arche. He moved to L'Arche GWDC after college and lived at Highland House as a live-in assistant for 5 years. He currently teaches english to sophomore's at Bishop O'Connell High School School in Arlington and still shares time at L'Arche.
