Cardinal Jorge Lozano Barragan, who had been quoted by Pontifex as saying that gays and lesbians could not "enter the Reign of God," says that he has been misquoted. After his remarks were made public in Pontifex and made several Italian papers (not to mention AP), the Vatican responded. "This is what the Word of God says, it isn't what I said," Cardinal Lozano Barragán said. "Now, I have never said that a particular homosexual cannot be saved, because he can be saved." “In a time when the globalized economic and political order is crumbling—especially exposed during the Trump era—the church may well be one of the last stubborn institutions that still holds a truly global character.”
Note to Barragan et al: they only reason this inclination is "a trial" is because of the attitude of people like you. I do not suffer from "same-sex disorder." I suffer from the attitudes, biases, prejudices and hate of both society and church.
