By now, I hope you have read Andrew Bacevich's excellent article on the U.S. campaign in Afghanistan from the current issue. To hear from Professor Bacevich, a widely respected military historian, listen to this week's podcast.

Also in the March 29th issue, George Anderson, S.J., leads a conversation with Father Francois Houtart, a Belgian priest and student of contemporary Vietnam. In conjunction with Father Anderson's article, we are featuring two online items: a slideshow of the church in Vietnam today, and three editorials from 1975 chronicling the fall of Vietnam.

View the slideshow on Vietnam.

Read about the fall of Vietnam.

Finally, a video commentary from Father Anderson, calling attention to a recent increase in journalists' deaths worldwide.
