I know it’s been a few weeks since America’s centennial celebration, but interested readers can go hereto listen to an interview with “JustLove,” a program on The Catholic Channel, about our first century of Catholic journalism.  (Be patient: it takes some time to load on a slower connection.)

Hosted by Msgr. Kevin Sullivan, Executive Director of Catholic Charities, and George Horton of Catholic Charities’ Department of Social and Community Development, JustLove is a one-hour weekly interactive discussion exploring the Catholic community’s impact on American society. Featuring interviews with social ministry leaders, thinkers and doers, the program investigates the ideas that shape the Catholic social mission and the deeds that put this mission into practice throughout the country.  JustLove airs weekly on Wednesday at 1pm EST on SIRIUS Satellite Radio on The Catholic Channel 159.

Following that interview, you can hear Fr. Michael Tueth, S.J., who teaches film and media studies at Fordham University, in an interview about some recent movies. (You have to listen to the America interview first; your reward will be great in heaven.)  Coincidentally, Fr. Tueth also lives upstairs from me at America House, and unless I am mistaken, he took the house copy of First Things to his room several days ago and has yet to return it.

(The folks in the photo are not myself or Fr. Tueth, but George Horton, Patricia O’Callaghan and Msgr. Kevin Sullivan of The Catholic Channel.)
