A Man of Restless Delight

O n vacation in spring 2008, I happened upon a short collection of poems, “A Mass for Anglesea,” by Peter Steele, S.J., a longtime professor of literature at the University of Melbourne in Australia. There are 11 poems, each taking as a subject a different moment in the liturgy (the Gloria, the Creed, Communion…), and all of them set at Anglesea, a small community on the Southern Ocean.
