Is there an article in America you would like to photocopy for a class, conference, parish discussion group or a parish bulletin? For a small fee, you can have permission to photocopy material from America. The charge is 5 cents a page for every page you photocopy. In other words, if you photocopy 100 copies of a 4-page article, you must send us $20 (100 x 4 x $0.05). Prices effective for the year 2002. You do not need to contact us, simply calculate what you owe us and make your check payable to America Press, Inc., and mail it to Reprint Department, 106 West 56th Street, New York, NY 10019-3803. Please indicate the title and date of the material photocopied.
Please print on the photocopied material: "Copyright America Press, Inc.,[year]. For subscription information, call 1-800-627-9533 or see www.americamagazine.org." For [year] substitute the year of publication.
Permission to photocopy America material may also be obtained through the Copyright Clearing Center.
An alternative to photocopying is to order multiple (bulk) copies of an issue from us.
Pastors wishing to photocopy or reprint material from America can negotiate with the reprint office the possibility of reducing or eliminating the fee in exchange for placing ads for America in their parish bulletins.
