I am excited to inform readers that I will be speaking this Friday morning in Tempe, AZ as part of the National Catholic Education Association's regional meeting. It will take place at the Newman Center at Arizona State University. My talk is titled "Hashtag God": Finding Faith in the Modern World. I will present some specific strategies for introducing the Catholic faith to high school students, while highlighting a few features of Ignatian pedagogy. My talk will also hit upon many of the themes that I've written about at this blog and in other Catholic publications. If you're part of the faculty that will attend, I look forwarding to seeing you there!

Matt Emerson's essays have appeared in a number of publications, including AmericaCommonweal, and the Wall Street Journal. The Catholic Press Association named his September 2012 essay "Help Their Unbelief," published in America, as the "best essay" in the category of national general interest magazine for 2012. He is the author of the book Why Faith?
