Developing Story | In the middle of the sex abuse crisis, do we still need a Synod on Youth?

In two weeks, the Vatican will hold a Synod of Bishops on “young people, faith and vocational discernment.” This bishops have been preparing for this synod for over a year but many people, including bishops in the U.S., have called for its cancellation. In its place, they want for a synod of bishops focused on the sex abuse crisis plaguing the universal church right now. 

In the middle of the sex abuse crisis, what can we expect from the synod on youth?
