Ignatian Pilgrimage to Rome 2017

In today’s Gospel, at the Mass celebrated at San Tommaso Da Villanova Church located in Castel Gandolfo, Jesus asks, “Why do you not know how to interpret the present time?”

I was asked to share a reflection of my experiences thus far of this amazing journey.

On Oct. 24, we celebrated Mass at the Church of the Gesu, the mother church of the Society of Jesus.

Yesterday, I had the chance to serve as deacon for Mass in the Church of St. Ignatius in Rome. It was a beautiful liturgy on a crystal blue day shared with family and friends. What a joyous opportunity!

Rome is a deeply prayerful place – found around every corner, bookending every piazza, speckled along the skyline, the Churches and chapels are inescapable, welcoming us into prayer.
