Great topic, Kerry, and wonderful questions! Thanks! I think I prefer a Fast Food *Focus* to the fast, but I am certainly going to check out the work of Interfaith Worker Justice. I do think there needs to be a living wage for fast food workers. Not everyone can "better themselves" in the sense of achieving or maintaining higher-wage work. We value our fast food (pretty important on some days & we can always choose the healthy alternatives available at most of those establishments!) , so we should value the folks that prepare it!
