The fight for the Dreamers is a fight for every immigrant.

Hours after the announced the end of DACA President Trump appeared to backtrack and leave open the possibility of revisiting DACA if Congress cannot pass legislation to protect Dreamers.

Former White House Chief Strategist Stephen K. Bannon believes the Catholic Church has been “terrible” to Mr. Trump on the issue of immigration, accusing bishops of supporting immigrants out of “economic interest.”

On Twitter, the president even called him an “American Patriot.”

There just don’t seem to be many who seem willing to engage with members of both parties from a position of respect and empathy.

DACA is a small and imperfect step in realizing what we Christians assert as truth about the dignity of all.
