As a Catholic married to an Anglican, I find myself in agreement with much of what Schaefer Riley says in this interview. My own study on interchurch families as domestic church (http://tinyurl.com/dyjdhxx) reflects much (though not all) of what she talks about, though my data is drawn from people who are solely interchurch, with both actively involved in both their churches. What I find disconcerting is the tendency to conflate interfaith (e.g. Christian - Jewish, Jewish - Muslim, etc,) and interchurch (e.g. Catholic - Anglican, Baptist - Lutheran, Sunni - Shia, etc.) marriages, when in fact the terms describe quite different theological realities. It would be interesting to review her data to see if there are differences evident in the responses of interchurch and interfaith families, and what those might be and mean.
