Senior Director of Development

 

Catholic Volunteer Network, a Washington DC area national membership organization for faith-based volunteer programs, seeks an energetic, ethical and innovative fundraiser with 5-8 years of experience, to be its new Sr. Director of Development.  The Sr. Director will create, implement and manage CVN’s institutional advancement program, including meeting financial goals; managing the major donors, grants, direct mail, planned and electronic giving programs; conducting donor solicitation and managing the database, and coordinating special events.  He/she will have knowledge of marketing and branding, will be a strategic thinker, a team player and a multi-tasker who is passionate about service based on faith and values.  The Sr. Director will serve as the liaison to and support for the Board of Directors development efforts.  We are looking for a creative, business-minded development professional.  

 

Light travel involved. Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s preferred).  Ideal candidate will have at least five to eight years of fundraising experience, with a proven record of success.  Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal and representational skills are a must, along with quantitative analysis and aptitude with MS Office and fundraising software.  Interested candidates should e-mail a cover letter, resume, salary history/requirements, and contact info for three business references to: Jim Lindsay, Executive Director, at jlindsay@catholicvolunteernetwork.org.  No phone calls please.  Deadline is June 15, 2013 but candidates will be reviewed on a first-come basis, so please apply early.
