Executive Director: Federation of Diocesan LiturgicalCommissions (FDLC)
The Federation of Diocesan LiturgicalCommissions (FDLC) is a nationalorganization composed primarily of members of diocesan liturgicalcommissions, worship offices and/or equivalent diocesan liturgicalstructures. These personnel, appointed by their bishops, have responsibility for promoting the liturgicallife of their dioceses. FDLC serves as an officialcollaborating agent between localchurches through diocesan worship offices and liturgicalcommissions and the USCCB Bishops’ Committee on Divine Worship (BCDW).
Due to a reconfigured job description adopted by the Board of Directors, the position of Executive Director for the Federation of Diocesan LiturgicalCommissions (FDLC) is now open.
Executive Director Position Summary:
Working collaboratively with the FDLC Board of Directors, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops / Bishops’ Committee on Divine Worship and other organizations with complementary missions, the executive director provides leadership that promotes excellence in the liturgicallife of the Roman Catholic Church. This is accomplished through:
· articulating a forward-thinking vision drawn fromculturaltrends as wellas an awareness of Church documents;
· creating a sound business environment to sustain and grow the organization;
· fostering an environment to energize the FDLC Board and at-large membership in their mission as diocesan and parish liturgists.
The Executive Director reports to the Chair of the Board of Directors.
